Elon Musk urges US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to fight politicians

Elon Musk urges US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to conduct the poll on Twitter

New Delhi:

In his recent vote on Twitter, Elon Musk asked his more than 95 million followers if they had less faith in billionaires or politicians. He then challenged Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York to conduct a similar survey among his supporters.

“Who do you trust less? The real question is, “Mr Musk tweeted. There were only two options in that survey – politicians and billionaires.

Mr Musk then challenged Mrs Ocasio-Cortez to conduct a similar survey among his own followers. He tweeted, “I dare you to run the same poll with your followers.”

At the time of writing, Mrs. Ocasio-Cortez has not yet responded to Mr. Musk.

So far, more than 2.3 million people have voted. With nearly 12 hours to go before the polls close, more than 76 percent of respondents identified “politicians” as less loyal than billionaires. About 24 percent of people choose “billionaire”.

Mr Musk added that using the word “billionaire” as an insult was “morally wrong and foolish”.

In a few more tweets, Mr Musk wrote that using the word “billionaire” as derogatory was “morally wrong and dumb” if a person became a millionaire by creating products that would make millions happy.

This is the latest in a series of feuds between Mr Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Miss Ocasio-Cortez, who have consistently demanded higher taxes for the rich.

On May 24, Ms Ocasio-Cortez said she was considering leaving her Tesla after Mr Musk joked with her in a Twitter dustup between the two last month.

On the Twitter spot last month, Mrs Ocasio-Cortez denounced a “billionaire with an ego problem” without naming him, to which Mr Musk replied, “Stop hitting me, I’m really shy.”

Mr. Musk then made fun of the 2021 Mrs. Ocasio-Cortez matte gala outfit, a white gown with the red phrase “Tax the Rich” printed on the back.

Returning to Mr. Musk’s latest survey on politicians vs. billionaires and digging into Mrs. Ocasio-Cortez, we can’t wait for the congressional woman’s response.
