Germany warns of ‘cruel’ global hunger – RT World News

Global food prices are skyrocketing as a result of Russia pursuing a hybrid warfare strategy, German Foreign Minister Analina Bয়ারrbok said after the G7 meeting on Saturday.

However, Moscow immediately retaliated by blaming Western sanctions for the spike.

“Russia has made a conscious decision to turn the war against Ukraine into a ‘grain war’.” The German minister insisted. He complains that it is now affecting a wide range of states, especially in Africa.

“Cruel hunger threatens,” He said.

“We should not be foolish about this.” Bearback warned. “It’s not a parallel loss, it’s a purely intentional instrument of hybrid warfare that is currently in operation.”

He said the G7 countries wanted to find alternative ways to supply grain to the world from Ukraine.

Earlier this week, the State Department tweeted: “Although Ukraine used to export five million tons of grain per month, shipments have been stopped due to the blockade of the Ukrainian port of Kremlin.” Washington has demanded such action Millions at risk of famine.

Russia responds to food crisis

Ukraine is currently unable to export about 90 million tons of agricultural products because Russia has blocked Ukrainian ports, its Prime Minister Denis Shamigal told local media. The country produces a significant portion of the world’s food – about 27% of its sunflower seeds, 5% of its barley, 3% of its wheat and rapeseed, and 2% of its corn.

Russia is the world’s largest wheat exporter. Although it has the capacity to export grain, it faces problems due to restrictions and its own requirements.

In response to the German Foreign Minister’s remarks, Moscow has accused the West of raising food prices.

“Prices are rising because of the pressure from the United States and the sanctions imposed by the West. This is if we talk about the direct cause. Failure to understand this is a sign of stupidity or deliberate confusion of the public. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her telegram channel.

According to diplomats, the threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty is also the work of the West. “Microsoft. Bearback’s predecessors are also involved, who have not only intervened in the situation in this country, but have modeled Ukraine’s domestic and foreign policy in manual mode.” He wrote.

Americans are not buying 'Putin's price increase'

Russia invaded Ukraine in late February, following Kiev’s failure to implement the terms of the first Minsk agreement signed in 2014 and the final recognition of Moscow’s Donetsk and Lugansk’s Donbas republics. The German- and French-brokerage protocols were designed to give special status to isolated territories within the Ukrainian state.

The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine formally declare itself a neutral state that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kyiv has insisted that the Russian invasion was completely unpopular and has denied claims that it is planning to forcibly retake the two republics.
