Germany’s Ramstein Air Force Base announces a “drag queen story time” event
Families of U.S. soldiers stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany will be able to take their children with them to Drag Queen Story Time next week. Base Library posted the event on its Facebook page, saying it was part of the Pride Month celebrations.
“We’re celebrating Pride Month at the Ramstein Library with Drag Queen Storytime!” On Tuesday, Ramstein and Vogelweh made the announcement on the pages of the Air Force Library. “Join us with special guest reader Stacey Ted! Don’t forget to wear your brightest and most colorful clothes! ”
The event is scheduled for June 2, and is different from the regular story time for military children, hosted by the Vogelweh Library in nearby Kaiserslautern.
“I think it’s totally inappropriate that the military everywhere would use public funds to have sex with children.” A woman whose husband is said to be staying in Ramstein told the Post Millennial on Tuesday. He said “The Rammstein Air Force Base Library is shocked to see plans to hold an official drag queen story hour for children.”

Rammstein has a large U.S. military base in southern Germany, which serves as the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force in Europe, Africa and the NATO Alliance Air Command (AIRCOM). Post Millennial says it has reached out to Base for comment, but has not yet been heard.
Last year, Nelis Air Force Base in Nevada performed a drag performance – which protected the base. “An opportunity for participants to learn more about the history and significance of the drag performance art in the LGBT + community.” When the conservative-leaning is called by the Britbert News.
“Ensuring the reflection of our status and the inclusion of the American people is essential to the morale, solidarity and readiness of the military.” A spokesman for Nelis told Britbert. However, that show was aimed at adults, not children.

According to Post Millennium, the Ramstein Library held a similar event in 2021, where a woman was shown in a man’s outfit. The current U.S. government has encouraged celebrations by diplomats and the military since last year.
In 2015, LGBT activists from San Francisco and Canada launched Drag Queen Story Hour, to do library reading. “More inclusive and reassuring.” Social conservatives have criticized the practice as inappropriate for children.
